It was only a year since the 15 season CBS show ended it's run but they weren't done yet.
According to reports from the Hollywood Reporter, a Criminal Minds revival is in the works at CBS Studios and ABC Signature.
Longtime showrunner and exec producer Erica Messer is expected to return for the new incarnation as she extends her deal at ABC Signature. There's no words on the original cast returning yet.
A return to Criminal Minds also comes as broadcast network CBS is plotting a return to CSI with a limited series featuring original stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox that would, in success, also stream on Paramount+ and refresh interest in the global hit's expansive library on the platform.
